I know this post is really really late considering my birthday was early this month...and now it's...26th..
20 days late. ^^;
Well, there's not much to brag about my 17th birthday anyway. It was celebrated in the lamest way anyone could imagine.
In fact, I remember being moody on my birthday.
Well, the main reason was (I think) no one really remembered my birthday. Ok, fine. That's a little exaggerating.
Kar Yee who I consider a close friend forgot didn't know that it was my birthday until someone told her.
The only present I got from my circle of friends was from Kole. She gave me a jigsaw puzzle which is the picture of Rinoa of Final Fantasy 9. Thanks Kole! You are a really, really good friend.
And the others?
I got a "Happy Birthday, Yi Jern" note on my table by Yen. Her reason?
"I don't know what to get for you lah~"
And some other people?
Just a plain "Happy Birthday" wish and a song from the whole class.
To be really honest, I was rather hurt.
And of course, the day before, my parents gave me my present.
It's another plush dog which is exactly the same as the one I got last year.
They bought it on purpose claiming that both of them are married.

On the left is Plonk, the first dog. One the right is Plink, the new dog.
They were placed side by side with a card saying, "Mum, we are MARRIED!"
Of course, that picture above was just a reenactment of what happened.
I objected the "marriage".

And so they became siblings instead...^^-

The top is Plonk and the bottom is Plink.
Oh, and just to let you know, Plonk is female and Plink is male.
And I got this wobbly headed thing which works on solar power. I got it from my aunt.

I had wanted this a long time already. It's simply cute. ^^- The downside to it is, now I have more junk than ever.
I got a sling bag and a shirt from that aunt too. ^^- She loves giving presents.
Next, I got a shirt from my cousin sister and 'angpao(s)' from my grandmother and another aunt.
Many many days later from my birthday, Yen got me this piggy bank.

It's uhm....small. Oh well, it's the thought that counts. though I'm pretty sure there's not much thought to it..
So.....what I realised from my birthday?
I'm practically invisible to my friends and family is definitely the one for you to go to whenever you feel rotten.
I love my family.
Friends? Perhaps only Kole is a good one to keep. We'll see about that soon. I hope what I thought in my yester years will not come true.
p/s: all harsh feelings and words are true only during the time of posting. I'm probably feeling much better after removing some of my pins and needles in my heart. I doubt anyone would read this though. Tsk.

Last Saturday I went to SMK Anderson Ipoh for the HELP University Law Olympiad 2009. I'm not going to explain everything in detail but Junne & Qingyx was late. >.<
Yea...Things were a little awkward at first for some weird reason. When the games started, things began to feel more comfortable. The games were fun, or at least I think it was. XD
We didn't win any prize. We were about 8-9 points from the first place winner. *sighs*
1st place: St. Micheal's Institution Ipoh
2nd place: some Buntong school
And Anderson's girl toilet is absolutely horrendous. Now I appreciate our school toilet more. LOL. One of the participants told me as she was exiting a stall, "Trust me, you don't want to go in there. It's gross."
I went in anyway. It was indeed gross. *shivers*
That's about it. Then, on Sunday. It was St. John's Flag's Day. A day to roam around town with donation tins asking the public to donate.
I was in the same group as Wai Yee, Tisha, Soong Mun Wai and Sharinder. We roamed around Greentown area and oh boy! It's very, VERY dead in the morning.
We passed by Foh San, a really famous dim sum shop and it was literally packed. There were people lining up just to have a bite! Crazy people. I'd very much rather go to a quiet and not so packed place to eat.
Yea...as the time ticks away, we strolled the streets, complaining about how much we hate doing this. Then, we ended up in front of Parkson. It was part of the area we were assigned to.
There, we met some really weird donors Malaysians. We saw pondans (men who dresses up as girls). We also saw this guy who I think is disabled either mentally or physically. He came running as fast as he could and sat down on the steps to catch his breath.
His run wasn't normal. It was like he was limping and jumping and running at the same time. Then, this guy stood near him and showed the --uhh, crazy disabled guy his flip handphone. All of a sudden, the disabled guy got up and did his weird run inside the building. That was definitely weird.
Then, there was also this man around his late 50s perhaps? Chinese man. He approached us and asked us in cantonese,
"What is this?"
"St. John."
"How come there's no Chinese words saying 'St. John' on your badges and tins?"
"..........."
"Since there's no Chinese word, I'm not donating!"
And he left us dumbfounded. Racial harmony is obviously still a problem here. The older generation should break this barrier already and stop planting racism in the younger generation.
At 12.00pm, we walked back to HQ. Luckily no one got robbed or knocked down during the whole process. LOL.
Though it rained a little in the morning. Thank god we brought umbrellas. ^^- Smart us! *grins*

I just noticed that people on Crunchyroll are weird, especially those who often go to Crunchyland.
I mean....they watch this kind of videos:
Isn't it weird? There's a zombie on your lawn~ blah blah blah~
Well, I'm NOT weird. It's just someone asked me to watch that video. Strange.
Though there ARE some really nice people there. ^^-
But there's also gays, lesbos and bi-s. LOL.
Yeaaa.....anyway...there's another video I would like to share. It's PINKY AND THE BRAIN!!!
xD It's a very very funny cartoon and also a very very old cartoon. I loved watching it when I was a kid.
I wished they had a rerun on TV. XD
Pinky & the Brain, Pinky and the Brain, one is a genius, the other's insane~ XD
It's Pinky, Pinky and the Brain Brain Brain Brain Brain Brain Brain Brain BRAIN! XD
And this video is totally awesome for those learning about brains. XD More videos as such should be made to keep us awake in Biology class. XD
*yawnz*
It's really late now...I should be going to bed. I have the Law Olympiad tomorrow. Wish us luck!
p/s: I shall post about my lame-o birthday some other time, after I taken pics of my prezzies.

For some random reason, Yen, Qingx, Jia Min, Junne & Me decided to take part in the Law Olympiad organized by HELP University which will be held in SMK Anderson on the 11th July.
We joined it not knowing that it's really hard. The paper that we saw said it's PURELY LOGIC, COMMON SENSE and REASONABLENESS.
Well, I did hesistate about joining as my general knowledge sucks. And when I say that, it really REALLY sucks.
But I joined anyway. LOL.
We had a little discussion yesterday about who does what and so on and so forth. Nothing came out except for bad temper flares and a little shouting.
I wondered who was the one who said "We MUST win YiJern!!", "Think about the MONEY!!!" and I just went =.=||
Okay, the ones who said that was Yen and Junne and yesterday they just said, "I was just kidding. Let's just follow your plan and just have fun."
That time I nearly went "WHAT??!!" but I just kept quiet.
You know, everytime anyone says something, I really do expect them to be telling the truth and not just "I was just kidding."
Okay, it's no use of me getting all worked up with what ever things which has passed.
Anyway, if we want to join it, we should at least prepare something. Like seriously, I don't want to go there and embarass myself and the school with my shallow knowledge.
So...........anyone who read this, would you care to give me some ideas on what kind of questions on famous people, cliches (pronounced as kli-shei), places and general knowledge which would most likely to be asked?
It's trivia questions, so I'm expecting really really tough questions.
Wish us luck! XD

On the 25th of June, a shocking news shook the world. Micheal Jackson's dead.
Personally, I wasn't a fan but it's a sad news that he's gone.
My earliest memory of MJ was him doing his famous moonwalk. I really liked some of his songs but I didn't know much though.
This was my favourite songs of all. Heal the World. Something which should be done now.
He was supposed to have a concert tour in July. Too bad, he couldn't do that.
He really is a legend. He did what others never thought of doing. He's unique.
He is truly the King of Pop.
Seriously, everyone around the world knows who Micheal Jackson is.
Why, we even used his name in remembering the colours of the rainbow!
"Micheal Jackson Killed His Brother In University"
M stands for Merah, J for Jingga, K for Kuning, H for Hijau, B for Biru, I for Indigo, U for Ungu.
So tell me, who don't know who Micheal Jackson is? ^^-
Farewell MJ. You've brought us many music and joy. You've amazed us with your dance steps. You've touched many hearts with your lyrics and deeds and WE all thank you for that.
Rest In Peace Micheal Jackson.

On the other side of the news....I have another news.
I AM GOING FOR NS!!
I don't know whether to be happy or sad. OH well, I will get to hold a gun at least! XP

OoH OOHH!! Look at this!!!

Ipoh Starwalk was held last Sunday which was the 21st of June 2009. And oh boy! There were a lot of participants. Most of them were in the non-competition category.
This year, I had decided to challenge myself a little. So I joined the competition category. ^^-
I hold no hope of winning any prize except for getting the certificate and that meant I had to complete the 10km walk under 100 minutes.
Registration was open in March if I'm not mistaken. I filled in this form and submitted to the Star. ^^-

And so, few days before the big walk I asked Jin Yuen to help me collect my goody bag as well as my mother's. Somehow, the person handed the wrong sized shirt to Jin Yuen. So I got XL instead of L. =.=|| Luckily my mother's shirt was the right size, M. Also, it's lucky that the shirt was just longer instead of wider. So, I still could wear it. XD
And so, the big walk came at last. When I opened my eyes, the sun was bright. It almost felt like it was 10.00am. I rushed to the clock and looked at it. It really WAS 10.00am. I ran out to the living room and found my parents there. I asked why didn't they wake me up for the walk and they said, "Call you also no response. Now finish already lor."
I got a big shock. My mouth was wide open. Then, my cousin sister came in with her parents. They were holding out certificates from the walk. My mouth went wider. "They didn't even register for the walk! How could they get the certificate???" a voice boomed in my head. I was speechless. Really speechless. Then everything turned black.
I heard someone calling me. I opened my eyes. The whole room was dark. I sat up in confusion. "Wait, that was a dream wasn't it?" I mumbled to myself. I saw the clock and it read 5.45am. I got out of bed and walked to the kitchen to brush my teeth. "That was really a dream wasn't it?" I questioned myself, still uncertain of which is reality.
"Ei, where did you put my shirt ah?" my mother asked.
At that moment, I just confirmed that the present moment is reality. I pointed to the white shirt dangling at the edge of a yellow plastic chair. "Neh! There also cannot see. Sakai," I teased her.
She pouted and made a funny sound, snatched up the shirt and went into her room to change. I, myself changed too and took out my cap, handphone, some money and food candies. They were all stuffed into my pocket. Then, I had bread and milo for breakfast. Urgh! Bread for breakfast never did taste good.
Note to self: Always eat bread later in the morning.
Then we set out. My father drove us there. Before we even reached the stadium, the whole road was already jammed with vehicles. The stadium was brightly lit with the stadium lights. We got down some distance away from the stadium and walked there. I had to escort my mother half-way to the velodrome. Then I myself had to walk to the competition category reporting center which is the track and field area. How unfortunate of me who thought that I could take the short cut by going through it instead of going one big circle around it. I had to go around it.
When I traded my reporting ticket with an orange band, I stood around feeling alone. T^T Maybe I made a mistake for entering the competition category. I saw some participants walking back to the starting line and I followed them. Oh, that was such a big mistake! We were supposed to wait in the stadium but no one told us that except for the emcee which was at the starting line. *sigh* I had to walk back to the stadium.
Before the race started, I'm already starting to feel tired. That's not good. In the stadium, I saw Putt and Estee but we splitted when they directed us out of the stadium to the starting line. We started the race at about 7.20am perhaps? I'm not sure. But we started.

I was somewhere waaaayyy behind. T^T
Then it's all walk walk walk walk walk walk walk walk walk walk walk walk walk walk walk walk walk walk walk walk walk walk...and some more walk walk walk walk walk.
I had my handsfree connected to my handphone for radio. Too bad my phone is not advanced enough to store songs. XD But a radio is good enough.
So, during the walk, my legs ached, my shirt got soaked in my sweat and I saw some funny things. The bands, some wore them on the wrist (supposed to be there), some on their hair, some on their fingers, some hold them casually, some put them in their bag. But I saw this guy who was from the non-competition category. He had his blue band around his left ear. I looked at it not knowing to laugh or to frown. LOL.
Then, there was also the group of friends. Well, most people walk in groups of friends. I saw this group after taking some water provided along Tambun Road. One guy splashed water on his friend. I snickered a little and went on walking.
Then, there was also the spectators. As we walked through the residential area, some old folks were standing at their front doors and watched the big group of people walk past their house. I thought to myself, "What's so nice to watch a group of sweaty people walking?"
Then there was also the dirty people. I do not mean that literally though. I meant it as in cheating and littering. Every year, there's definitely some lazy people who takes short cuts here and there and litter bugs who throws their plastic drink cups at the side of the road. There's no difference in that this year.
Yada yada yada...when I was closing in to the stadium, my mum caught up with me. It's a little embarassing to have someone older than you and started 10-15 minutes later than you to catch up to you. XP
My mum told me that she fell and pointed to me her bleeding knee. T^T When we reached the stadium and got our certificates, I took her to the PBSM to get it treated. Then, we went around the stalls there.
The Milo line was long and somehow from 2 lines, it converged into a single line. *raises eyebrow* I saw Yen and Kang Ye there. Kang Ye did not see me though. >.>
The Milo was delicious as always. I love Milo. XD Then we went to get free Spritzer mineral water. Got 2 bottles each and we lined up for a game at the Magnum stall.

You have to throw 4 ping pong balls into the orange/yellow part of the painted egg cartons.
1 ball - a Magnum pen
2 balls - a Magnum notepad
3 balls - I dunno.
I only got one ball in. T^T My mum got 2. SOBX!!!!
Then I lined up for popcorn. Yummy popcorn at the Digi stall. Then, I wanted to line up for the Pallas Spin & Win game. But the line was crazily long and it's not moving.

Yea...then we went into the air-conditioned hall. It was crowded. Real crowded. There were some people singing. Oh boy~they can't sing well. Tsk tsk tsk. There was also a ballet performance of "The Sound of Music". On contrary of enjoying the dance, I enjoyed the songs. I grew up watching "The Sound of Music". ^^-

There was also a performance by some dancers from Motion Masterz. I did not watch them because the moves and steps are so cliched. I watched it plenty of times. But I'm not saying they're not good though.
We stayed for the lucky draw to end hoping that our numbers would be called out at least for one prize. Unfortunately, neither our numbers were called. T^T We went home right after that. Had a shower, lunch and nap.
Oh yea...I found Pn Pung's picture in the Star Online.

Ahahah. Those 2 girls are her daughters and the guy is her husband. ^^- I see that they are eating popcorns. XD
Ah well...that's all I supposed. ^^-

Ballet Concert~!! Ballet Concert~!! Ballet Concert~!!
Yada..yada..yada..
That's a "hot issue" in school..for now.
It's announced at assembly most of the time, if not everyday. It's annoying.
Not that I do not support it, Well, actually I don't support it. At ALL.
Can't the school just have Pesta Ria or something else which involves ALL of the students?!
This concert only concerns the dancers and prefects. (Maybe some librarians as well.) And not to forget the choir.
What does the rest of the students do? We would have to BUY tickets to watch it.
What happens when your class teacher happens to stupidly bought all of the unsold tickets (class' portion), say about 4 tickets?
Oh, those students from that class who DID NOT buy the tickets have to share out the money and pay for the tickets.
Would the student be willing?
Well, I'M NOT!! Although it's just RM4.60, it's still money isn't it?! Sheesh.
The unsold tickets were supposed to be returned in the first place!! There was no such thing as "Principal said 5S1 must sell all of the tickets," I believe.
If it is true that the principal said that, WOW. The discrimination to "smart and so-called rich students".
I just don't get why and how teachers link smart and rich together.
They always say, "Aiya, I know you 5S1 girls very rich wan...RM4.60 only ma..Cannot give meh?"
HELLO??!! NOT ALL STUDENTS FROM 1ST CLASSES ARE RICH!! Grrrr....
Anyway, back to my willingness.
It feels like certain someone is forcing us 5S1 girls who did not buy the tickets to pay for her foolishness. No one told you to buy the tickets with your own money. No one said you could not return the tickets. No one said that students MUST buy the unsold tickets. NO ONE!
Wrong usage of power? Sounds like that to me. Sheesh.
And one more annoying thing in school would be the misuse of the P.A. System in the principal's office.
What's more? The person misusing it IS the PRINCIPAL.
Everyday you would hear the P.A. System go "Ding! Dong! I would like [this certain someone] to see me now," or "Miss/Mrs [whoever] please see me before you go home today."
Why is it annoying? It interrupts classes because the speakers in the class are so loud or maybe the speaker is speaking too closely to the microphone. As if you're in a school for the hearing impaired.
*rolls eyes*
========================================================
Alright. Happy news now. LOL.
Exam results are out. All of them. I'm fine with my marks but still not satisfied. I know I could've done better. Aihx.
I wonder what position will I get this time. *keeps fingers crossed*
This Sunday. Starwalk!! Woot!
Jin Yuen helped me to take my goody bag. Somehow the person she was dealing with accidentally gave her the wrong sized shirt. So I got XL instead of L. =.=;;
Luckily it's not THAT huge. It's just longer. LOL.
Yea, 10km walk this Sunday. I hope I can make it. I mean at LEAST get a cert. I didn't get one last year. T^T
YIJERN HWAITING!!! YIJERN GANBATEH!!! XD
And of course, swimming. I've learned how to swim slightly. My mum is teaching me freestyle. ^^- I think I'm going to swim again tomorrow.
Oh OH yea!! My Windows Live Messenger has finally SIGNED ME IN!!!!!! *jumps with joy*
It shocked me at first so I was shouting with joy after I saw the "online" sign. Luckily there was no one else but me. XD
Hmm..what else?
Check out this blog. (Milk Toof) It's uber cute! Ikaru told me about this. Ickie and Lardee~ XD
Yea. That's bout it. Seems like complains occupied this post more than happy news. LOL.
